How redeployment works for redeployees

The Redeployment service can help you to try and find a new job at the University if your job is at risk although to be eligible to join you must have at least 12 months' service by the end of your current contract.

Jobs are advertised to redeployees on a preferential basis through the e-recruitment system for 14 days before they are advertised anywhere else.

You can only apply for jobs on redeployment if they are the same grade or a lower grade than your current job.

Your job is at risk if:

external funding is ending;
organisational change means your job isn’t needed anymore;
medical reasons mean that you aren’t able to carry on doing your current job (supported by Occupational Health);
there is another substantial reason.
