Railcard Loan
The University of Leeds offers an interest free loan of up to £4,000 for the purchase of an annual train season ticket. With an annual season ticket, you make a saving equivalent to 12 weeks travel costs when compared with the cost of buying a weekly ticket over 12 months.
The annual ticket covers travel between two chosen stations, any time, seven days a week. Repayment of the loan is by 10 monthly instalments from your salary.
The ticket must be used for, or as part of, your commute to the University of Leeds.
The start date of your season ticket should be at least 5 working days after you have submitted your application. This allows time for approval of the application and for the ticket to be issued and delivered.
On the application form, please use your home address details, not the University’s. Please enter “Post to home address” in the Notes field.
Northern make a recorded delivery charge of £2.75 which will be added to the ticket price when your salary deductions are set up.
