Overtime for staff contracted to work fixed hours
This policy explains what pay you will get if you work overtime.
- Your Head of School/Service needs to agree that you can do overtime.
- Whether it’s time off in lieu or payment, the rates for working more than 35 hours in one week (Monday to Sunday) are:
- Monday to Saturday – time and a half.
- Sunday – double time.
- Rates and allowances are different if you work Bank holidays and/or University closed days and the policy lays these out in more detail.
