Employment security for staff on fixed funding or fixed term contracts
This procedure describes what to do when external funding is potentially ending regardless of whether the contract is fixed term or open ended.
- It explains situations where 'fixed term' contracts and 'open ended contracts with fixed funding' will be used.
- It explains the process followed when external funding is potentially ending (i.e. when a post is potentially redundant) and what staff can expect from the University i.e.:
- An individual consultation meeting
- The right to join the redeployment register (if the member of staff has over 12 months service)
