One possible approach is:

  • Meet with her outside of the SRDS process.
  • Clearly outline to her the issues with her work and what your expectations are.
  • Discuss with her the reasons for this poor performance.
  • Explain that her performance must improve as her work is essential for the business or you may have to address issues more formally.
  • Offer her some support and training to assist her to improve her skills.
  • Put in writing what has been agreed along with a development plan and objectives.
