One possible approach is:
- Arrange to meet with her and discuss her role, any problems, issues etc at the earliest opportunity.
- Arrange for her to have an SRDS meeting and set her some objectives.
- Ensure she is given work to do commensurate with the grade of the role.
- Ensure she is given support and any update training.
- Arrange very regular meetings with her to see how she is getting on and note each meeting.
- Put meeting summaries in writing.
