Case study 1 - possible approach to stage 1

One possible approach is:

  • Arrange to meet with her and discuss her role, any problems, issues etc at the earliest opportunity.
  • Arrange for her to have an SRDS meeting and set her some objectives.
  • Ensure she is given work to do commensurate with the grade of the role.
  • Ensure she is given support and any update training.
  • Arrange very regular meetings with her to see how she is getting on and note each meeting.
  • Put meeting summaries in writing.
